Context

Client

NOVO Inc. is a global food brand and repeat client expanding their existing line of retail squeeze pouch purees.

Objective

This project extended my collaboration with NOVO Foods, reflecting an ongoing brand relationship. The applesauce pouch was positioned for a new market channel and required a standalone design while potentially integrating earlier design conventions.

Brief

Project scope included:

  • Developing three original design directions for a single applesauce pouch SKU
  • Incorporating NOVO brand elements, a clear product window, and a green/red dominant color scheme
  • Interpreting client-provided market references (e.g., TreeTop) into fresh, original, shelf-ready concepts
  • Finalizing one direction based on client and end-user feedback

My Reflection

This second NOVO project reaffirmed the importance of visual storytelling in children’s food packaging and expanded my creative versatility across design systems. It also reinforced the value of sustained client relationships and clear communication when producing brand-aligned assets across multiple product cycles.
